| The problem with these chandeliers is not in the selling of them, its finding them. This chandelier has all its original features, It is well dressed with unusual shaped crystals and its brass frame is in good condition with no repairs. |
The original 1920's wooden peg type
electrics were kept on this chandelier to
retain the glass sleeves, these are safe
so long as the chandelier is earthed
properly. When I work on a chandelier of
this quality I become attached to it and
have a slight reluctance to sell it. You
would think i would get used to them, but
they are all different.

| This chandelier is about 160 years old and was originally lit with candles. It would have been rarely used and only lit on special occasion. There is a warm light generated by the brass and crystal mix, the all glass modern chandeliers seem cold in comparison. I personally don't like the modern all glass or crystal chandeliers they don't have the golden hue of the light reflected off the brass or gilt. |
